Biologically Pure Water

In hospitals, healthcare facilities and homes, immuno-compromised patients require a higher standard of water than tap or bottled water.

The DSU’s 0.005 μm membrane far exceeds the CDC recommendation of 0.2 μm bacterial filtration. This cost-effective filter eliminates water-borne pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, cysts and biological toxins (including ricin and botulinum toxin); providing exceptional stopping power while maintaining high flow.

  Nephros Safe Spout (#70-0233)
This filter is a disposable point-of-use single stage ultra filter (.005 microns) that connects to the end of a standard sink faucet. It delivers micro-biologically pure water for drinking, bathing, etc. The Safe Spout will last about 1 month (See instructions for Use). The Safe spout removes biological contaminants. For chemically pure water, it is necessary to use the filter in conjunction with other devices (i.e. reverse osmosis system).

Due to the increasing risk of hospital acquired infections and associated costs, the Nephros DSU is an important addition to patient safety initiatives for prevention of water borne infections. Dialysis units are transitioning to ultrapure water; reducing inflammatory stimulus, and therefore, EPO/Drug costs. Biologically pure water. Simple. Safe. Reliable.
