Biologically Safe Water Filters

Since Legionella often lives in biofilm at the point of use (showerheads, etc.), how do you recommend that customers address that issue when using medical water filters?

The DSU requires the user to ensure the line(s), post filter, are clean. The installation kits include instructions and some supplies needed to disinfect the line(s) from the filter to the end point. From this point forward, the DSU is delivering pure water through the spout with no nutrients to start or support bio-film growth.

The Sink Installation Kit has parts for installing two filters (hot and cold) while the Shower Installation Kit is for installation of one filter. You can disinfect the existing shower hose/head or use the new shower hose/head, provided in the Shower Installation Kit. The Ice Machine Installation Kit has parts for installation of one filter.

Caution: Any point-of-use filter can be contamination by touching the end use point.
